DeepState exposes Dnipropetrovsk Oblast fortifications to counter Russian advance

According to analysts, there has been a lot of discussion online lately about the preparation of defense in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, which is being closely approached by the Russian invasion forces. There are complaints about poor preparation and questions about its condition.

After the critical problems with the fortified defenses in Kharkiv Oblast, which we started talking about and publishing, society reacted strongly to such irresponsibility," the experts said, adding that they knew from the soldiers that fortifications were being prepared on the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk oblasts, but had no data on the scale.

According to DeepState experts, they visited the second of three lines of engineering fortifications being built in both Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk oblasts.

"As practice has shown, the effectiveness has been demonstrated, first of all, by engineering barriers that allow to delay the enemy and strike at him in the process of overcoming such barriers," the analysts said, commenting on the construction.

Therefore, special attention should be paid to engineering obstacles that combine different types of obstacles: anti-tank ditches, concrete tetrahedrons (dragon's teeth), razor wire, low-visibility obstacles, and minefields. According to analysts, they are also combined with the construction of various types of positions.

"The only thing we can say here is that they are finally being built underground," experts from DeepState said.

The engineers and those responsible for the construction are aware of the issues with FPV drones, so all of this is taken into account in the process of work.

It is also reported that the fortifications are being built in the form of a tiered defense, which aims to delay and exhaust the occupying army, causing maximum losses. Different people are responsible for each level of defense. According to analysts, combat brigades are in charge of this on the front line, while the second line is in the hands of military engineers and is being built at the expense of the regional administrations and the state.

"The third line is the most serious and is under special responsibility, where military specialists with certain resources are also engaged in the work," the analysts said.

According to DeepState, sometimes Western partners are involved in the process for consultations and experience transfer, but when they arrive, they adopt certain experience and consult on defense building.

"In conclusion, we would like to say that the defense of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has been prepared for a long time and the fortified defenses are present there," DeepState said.
