It's everyone's favorite time to head to the Jersey Shore.
That usually means you're not alone on the roads. Friday afternoons from Memorial Day to Labor Day can mean heavy traffic headed to the Jersey Shore. We'll let you know which roads to avoid, or how long you'll be stuck in traffic, throughout Friday's commute.

While this weekend is expected to be a dud in terms of beach weather, there are still plenty of things to do at the shore. Here's how long it will take you to get there.
Crash on Parkway southbound, just north of Shore points
WOODBRIDGE — As of 6:18 p.m., state authorities report a crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound exiting at Exit 132 (Route 27) in Woodbridge. The ramp is partially blocked.
Delay now up to 11 miles on the Parkway
WALL — As of 4:30 p.m., the state is reporting an 11-mile delay on the Garden State Parkway southbound, just north of Exit 91B-A (Chambers Bridge Road) in Wall to just south of Exit 83 (Route 9) in Toms River. All lanes are open.
Route 71 drawbridge over Shark River to close at 6 p.m.
BELMAR — The Route 71 drawbridge over the Shark River between Belmar and Avon is scheduled to be closed around 6 p.m. Friday for emergency repairs.
Currently, the Shark River Channel is closed to marine traffic. The state Department of Transportation is working with the Coast Guard and New Jersey State police to assist boats in navigating the channel to get back into their marinas this afternoon, the agency said in a statement.
Marine traffic able to pass under the bridge in the closed position may do so. Any vessels that require an opening to pass under the bridge may not, the statement said.
Repairs to the bridge will continue over the weekend and repair crews will use a crane to lift a section of the bridge to allow larger vessels to pass underneath the bridge, the state Transportation Department said.
All motor vehicle traffic on Route 71 will be detoured until further notice.
10-mile delay on the Garden State Parkway
Traffic is picking up on the Garden State Parkway from Wall Township to the Toms River Toll Plaza, according to 511nj.com. The volume has caused a 10-mile delay, slowing the commute.
Four-mile delay in Lakewood
Traffic is heavy on the Garden State Parkway southbound from north of Exit 89C in Lakewood (Lakewood/Airport Road) to north of Toms River Toll Plaza. All lanes are open.
Starting to back up
As of 2:40 p.m., there's a two-mile delay on the Garden State Parkway express lanes south from south of Exit 109 in Middletown (County Route 520) to Exit 105 in Tinton Falls (Route 36).
So far, an easy cruise
The drive from the Raritan Toll Plaza to Exit 98 in Belmar is taking 29 minutes in the express lanes, 25 minutes in the local lanes, as of 2:20 p.m.
From the plaza to Exit 63 for LBI, expect a trip of one hour and two minutes.
Lane closed in Highlands
As of 1:15pm, there's emergency maintenance in the northbound lanes of Route 36 north of Miller Street in Highlands. The right lane on the two-lane stretch is closed.
Slow start to weekend traffic
Friday afternoon after lunch is when traffic usually starts to pick up, but thanks to a cloudy day and a dreary weekend ahead, it seems people are hitting the road later. If you leave now, there aren't many problems.
