U.S. Open weather updates: Latest news as rain arrives during Round 3 at Oakmont

The 2025 U.S. Open is being held at Oakmont Country Club near Pittsburgh. It is a beautiful course and is one of the most challenging that the competitors will play all year.

The Oakmont Country Club has hosted the U.S. Open before and is set to host the event every seven years for the foreseeable future. The potential issue with trusting a location as close to Pittsburgh as Oakmont is situated is the high chance of rain or storms. Pittsburgh averages 154 days of rain per year, which ranks as the eighth-most in the country.

The first round of the 2025 U.S. Open went off without a hitch. The second round may not be so lucky.
